I wanted to announce some recent changes we've made to improve copy to clipboard in Secret Server.
First, I am excited to say that Secret Server 7.8.000048 supports copy to clipboard in Safari on OSX with version 1.0 of our Safari Clipboard Plugin. Currently OSX Snow Leopard and Lion are supported, and version 5.0 or greater of Safari is required.
To install it, simply use the Copy to Clipboard functionality in Secret Server. If the plugin is not installed, you will be prompted to download and install it.
To uninstall it if needed, please see this knowledge base article: http://support.thycotic.com/KB/a273/how-to-uninstall-the-copy-to-clipboard-safari-plugin-osx.aspx
Secondly, version 2.2 of our Google Chrome copy to clipboard extension has been released. This brings the ability to have passwords automatically removed from the clipboard when the tab is closed, or after a configurable timeout.
Version 2.2 of the copy to clipboard extension for Chrome does not require upgrading Secret Server, only that the extension is updated. Chrome will update it automatically, or you can force your extensions to update by clicking "Update extensions now" on the extensions tab under Configuration.
Once you are running the latest version, click "Options" by the Secret Server extension to configure automatic clearing of the clipboard.
