It would be nice if a template could only be seen and used if you have permissions to use it. Perhaps a Group of templates that you can assign permissions to.
We plan to seperate , rearchitecture our SS into top level folders by departments. Each department we would like to have access to different templates and not see certain ones.
For example, (in another thread youll see me asking about regex templates), we want to have certain departments follow a specific naming scheme for templates using regex on say Domain accounts. We dont want another department to be required to do the same. Curently we would need to make 2 templates, one with regex for department 1, and another without regex for department 2. On the main page though, both departments can see both templates.

Nick,
Thanks for the feedback - always appreciated!
We do have an existing feature request in to limit which Secret Templates could be used in a folder. This seems to get you part of the way there but still doesn't limit the user's initial choice.
I will add your feature request for permissions on Secret Templates. Seems like these permissions would just be for the ability to add Secrets using that template... you would still want regular Secret and Folder permissions to apply to view Secrets, etc.
Thanks!
