Ray,

No - you can only export Secrets that you have access to. You would either need to ensure that you have access to all Secrets (add yourself or an admin group to all folders) or use Unlimited Admin. Another way to do a backup is to use the Automated Backup but this is only available in the Installed Edition (this does a filesystem and a database backup).

You can use the XML option when doing an export (Administration | Export) and it will include Folders, Secret Templates and Secrets. These can then be imported into a locally hosted Secret Server installation.

Thanks for your feedback!
:-D

Is there a way to export all secrets without using Unlimited Administrator mode? At the moment, I'm turning on Unlimited, Exporting, and then turning off Unlimited. Is there a better way to make a backup?

Speaking of which, in addition to the secrets themselves, I've put some time into customizing templates and other configurables: how can I make a full backup (using Secret Server Online)? For example, let's say I want to move my settings to a locally hosted Secret Server installation.
