8/8/2011 12:35:15 PM Blake P Posts: 19	Howdy. Just upgraded to 7.7 on friday and hit a bug (I think) already this morning. First off thank you so much for the password requirements! I have a template listed as "Firewall". I have 9 fields listed below. Model, WAN Address, LAN Address, Username, Password, Enable Password (If needed), Backup Username, Backup Password and Notes. Password, Enable Password and Backup Password are all Password fields, however only the First Password field is checked as "Required". Creating a new record that does not have all of these yields an error of "Password does not meet the complexity requirement of 8". 8 being the minimum number of characters within our passwords for this secret template. I can smash keyboard into the other fields to get it to save. The password in the only field that is required was generated using these password requirements. I will Attach the XML for this template in a reply to this thread.

We will be sure to fix this issue in an upcoming release so that passwords that are not required are not validated if they are left empty. For now, you can turn off the validation of the Password Requirements on Create and Edit for that Secret Template. Any invalid passwords will still show up in the 'What Secrets Do Not Meet Password Requirements?' Report. Kind Regards, Jacob Stucky Thycotic Support
