This may seem trivial, but how can I configure a secret so someone can open the secret up but not unmask the password? What i am trying to do is setup a ssecret so someone can execute the RDP launcher to get on a windows machine, but they shouldnt know the password.
If you have VIEW to a secret, then you can view the password.

Hi Nick,
You can remove the permission " View Launcher Password" from the Role(s) the user belongs to. See section 5.b of the user guide here:
<a href="http://updates.thycotic.net/link.ashx?SecretServerUserGuide">http://updates.thycotic.net/link.ashx?SecretServerUserGuide</a>
With this permission removed, the password will never be visible if it is launcher enabled. If it is not a launcher enabled secret, they will be able to unmask the password as normal.
Thanks, -- Kevin J.
