Audit Reports

Insider breaches account for 86% of all corporate information security incidents, with over half occurring after employee termination. Many employees linked to security breaches have authorized access to company systems. Not surprisingly, IT staff members are usually in control of the privileged passwords to these systems, making audits a necessary component of your password management practices.

Secret Server has two distinct ways to audit user activity. User audit reports and secret audit reports.

Full user audits

Secret Server's full user audit report provides peace of mind to administrators by implementing a detailed tracking system for actions made on secrets. Auditing users is an indespensable component of any password management system. The benefits of our user audit report include:

  • helps SEC regulated companies comply with the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 and other regulatory compliance needs
  • know what secrets were accessed
  • assists in ensuring that all secrets are used properly

Secret audit reports

Secret audit reports are designed to provide monitoring capabilities for all users that have access to a secret. For example, if you are an administrator and need to grant access to a service account to several of your employees, you will be able to see who accessed the account and when, in addition to what action they performed (view, share, expire, edit, etc.).

Customizable

"Customization was very simple. After a few moments working with the product I was able to add my own fields and attributes."
