Updating Windows Scheduled Tasks and Service Accounts
Secret Server 5.0 extends the existing Remote Password Changing (RPC) capability by providing immediate synchronization for Scheduled Tasks, Service Accounts and IIS AppPools. From any RPC secret , you can keep all of the dependencies up to date with the appropriate account information.
Examples of this would include:
- An IIS AppPool that uses a Domain account as its identity.
- A Service Account that authenticates as a local system user.
- A scheduled task that was a particular user.
Checking out Secrets
The check out option allows administrators to assign one user rights to a secret, with the secret automatically changing when it is checked back in (or times out). For auditing purposes, each user who checks out a secret is tracked.
Search by all fields
Find the secret you are looking for even if you dont know the whole name or folder it is in.This feature allows all encompasing searches across the database, using either full terms or fragments.
