Two-Factor Authentication is a method of strong authentication that requires two different forms of identification
instead of the traditional single password. Secret Server allows Administrators to require Two-Factor Authentication
through a confirmation email for designated users.
Reasons for Two-Factor Authentication
Secure password storage is a major consideration for users who access Secret Server from laptops or other mobile devices as they are more vulnerable to having
a device stolen. Requiring multiple forms of authentication provides additional security against
theft or attempts to crack a user's password.
Secret Server also supports RADIUS-based authentication
