Secret Server

I recently viewed a demo of some of the upcoming features in Secret Server 7.0. This is not a complete list and there are many other items which will still be included in the next release.

* Reporting
The new reporting interface comes with a set of standard reports. These reports include a variety of 2D and 3D charting/graphing components and a full grid of data. Some of the reports are purely data detailed and have no charts. You can also create your own reports based on any Secret Server data (user, audit, permissions, folders, etc). You can also create report sections and easily arrange report sections and reports to provide access to auditors and meet compliance requirements. This may also include Scheduled Reports via email in the 7.0 or 7.1 timeframe.

* RADIUS support / AuthAnvil / RSA / CryptoCard support
Two factor tokens can now be natively used in Secret Server. The mechanism has been implemented to be RADIUS-compatible so any RADIUS based authentication mechanism can be used. ScorpionSoftware (makers of AuthAnvil) have been very supportive in making this integration possible.

* Sybase Remote Password Changing support
You will be able to change Sybase login passwords using the Remote Password Changing Add-On.

The single website click is currently being investigated by the development team. I should have an update for you by month's end.

I'm also looking forward to 7.0 and would like to know the approximate release date.

I upgrade from 6.1.000013 to 6.2.000012 and now my administrator accounts can't see subfolders. Apparently it's a known bug to be fixed with 7.0

We are currently beta testing 7.0 and it is is scheduled to be released in a few weeks. If you are having problems with subfolder visibility issues, you can disable the "Require View Permission on Specific Folder for Visibility" option on the configurationpage. Another option is to turn off unlimited administrator mode and set permissions on the folders manually so that your admin group can view them.

The single website click feature won't make it into 7.0 but should be in 7.1 which is about 2 months away.
