Mozilla/Firefox Prisim

On my team, we have started using a tool called Prisim (http://prism.mozilla.com/). It takes web applications, like Secret Server, and turns them into a desktop application using Firefox as the base that runs separately as its own application with its own windows and settings. It works great with Secret Server, except for the copy/paste firefox extension. I can trigger the install of the extension, but the install quits saying that it is not compatible with the application. Since it is using firefox as the base, I'm sure that it is just a case of it not liking the version string that gets passed to the extension installer, not an actual incompatibility. We would LOVE it if this extension could be modified so that it is not as picky with the install.
Thanks,
--- Karl |

I've done a bit of research and it actually appears that there are some differences between Firefox and Prism that we'd have to account for (I think it has to do with the structure of the UI elements that our plugin has to interact with). I'll add a feature request for Prism compatibility.

Karl,
We have done some further investigation with Prism and there are some challenges. The identifying guid for Prism is different from Firefox. This probably makes it incompatible with all Firefox extensions.
We will send an email to the Prism developers to get some more info. We will also add a request to add the Prism guid to our add-in so that it will work.

Thanks for getting this working! I downloaded the extension, and followed the install instructions, and it works great. Thanks again! |
