Download Steps

  1. Download Secret Server
  2. Install Secret Server. (You may now start using the software, but until you receive and enter your license keys, you'll be limited to one user, and some features will not be available. You can contact Technical Support for free assistance if you have any problems with installation or configuration.
  3. Request your 30-day trial license keys
  4. Receive your trial approval email with your trial license keys (this may take a couple of hours. Trial requests are processed Monday through Friday )
  5. Enter your trial license keys in the software. You can now add 10 users and may acess all features for 30 days. You can also get full access to tech support through phone/email for 30 days and can even upgrade to any new release during this time

System Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 / Windows Server 2008 (32-bit or 64-bit) including R2 / Windows XP Professional / Windows Vista / Windows 7
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (7.0 requires classic pipeline mode)
  • SQL Server 2005 / SQL Server 2008 including R2 (Express Edition or better)

Installing Secret Server

Upgrading Secret Server

Note: Open your web browser, go to your Secret Server, and look in the header bar (near the logout link) for an alert that will appear telling you that there is a new version. Click the alert and follow the on screen instructions to automatically upgrade to the new version. You must be logged in as a Secret Server administrator to do the upgrade.

Important: please backup your Secret Server file before upgrading . If the alert does not appear in the header then either restart IIS or touch the web.config to have Secret Server restart and check for updates.

Release Notes

By downloading and installing Secret Server, you will be entitled to one full version license of Secret Server. The installation is a simple 5-step process and allows you to begin managing your passwords right away.
