Secret Server supports SQL database mirroring to create a real-time backup of all the stored data. With SQL mirroring, the SQL database can be configured with a primary, secondary and witness server to set up automatic failover. With SQL mirroring and automatic failover, Secret Server can offer high availability and data redundancy. A hot backup of the webserver and database can aid in disaster recovery and limit any down time of a vital instance. Database mirroring is configured in SQL Server and the failover partner can be specified in the Advanced setting in Step 3 of the Installer.
