Hi,
we are currently using VisionApp RDP to connect to RDP,SSH etc and in VARDP we can use the currently logged on users SSO credentials to login via RDP, SQL etc.
This would be a awesome feature for the SecretServer Launchers as well.
Best Regards, Johannes

Hi Johannes, Would you please explain the benefit of this feature? Do i understand you right: You want to use the locally logged in users credentials to connect to other machines via SS-RDP-Launche? When you already have SSO, why do you need SecretServer?
I could understand i you want to use multiple launchers for secrets, so you can execute Powershell scripts, SQL Studio,... from within one secret.
Or you you want VARDP to fetch secrets from SecretServer?
I explain my situation: We have lots of different systems, i'm responsible for Windows Server. For Windows DMZ machines we need SecretServer, for Domain Machines, we use a doamin (SSO account). Although we dont use sso for server as we use specific Administratice accounts (admUSERNAME) for this connections since it's much more secure.
I use the Open Source Terminals (<a href="http://terminals.codeplex.com/">http://terminals.codeplex.com/</a> as my RDP Management Tool to connect to my Domain-Servers. It features an integrated credential Management which i fill with my Domain Admin Credentials. Unfortunately we also have DMZ machines without domain integration (this is where SS really has it's benefit, additionally to providing local accounts and all the other great features. For DMZ/single Servers i use SS, although i'd prefer an Interface from SS into Terminals so i have all my RDPs in one single Window instead of all full screen RDP Windows. This would be each Windows Admins wet dream ;-)
Schöne Grüsse, Peter

Hi Peter,
We are a hosting-company hosting thousands of servers, all which have various amounts of local, domain and SQL-accounts configured.
Sysadmins and ServiceDesk personell mainly use their own admin-accounts to logon to the servers, switches, firewalls etc to get the correct privileges and should only use general accounts as a last resort to solve a problem or configure something that needs local accounts.
Currently we have to keep up with multiple serverlists (VisionApp RDP and SecretServer) and multiple credentials (some server credentials are also configured in VARDP for easier access).
Hence the need/urge to have the possibility to pass SSO-credentials directly to the RDP-launcher.
Either we want VARDP to be able to fetch credentials from SS or even better, get better/more launchers into SS! VARDP is far more versatile and more flexible while working with many connections then single MSTSC connections.
Best Regards, Johannes
