For example:
You have an AD password in Secret Server and set it to expire every 30 days - it has a Dependency defined of say a Powershell script to run whenever the password is changed. 30 days is up, Secret Server changes the password on the AD account then runs the Powershell script which connects to your web service and tells it the new password.

Or am I way off here? :-D

Let me rephrase: If a web secret expired, the tool could initiate a webservice call as a get or a post request to change the password and update it within secret server?

If the Secret is then set to AutoChange then the password would be automatically changed (depending on the AutoChange Schedule that has been set for that Secret).
