The server is running SQL 2005 Express and .NET 3.5 SP1 already so that shouldn't be an issue.

The upgrade did time out at the end, I didn't actually get a successful/failed screen at all. The last upgrade I did was a while ago so I couldn't remember if I was meant to get a successful screen at the end or not.

Is there anything you can suggest I try without initiating the remote support session? I'm attempting the upgrade in a test area first so it's not crucial that this is working straight away, and I'm in Australia so the time difference isn't exactly the best.

Secret Server does not require a progressive upgrade and is built to be able to upgrade from any earlier version. There are however a few things to check that might have caused your upgrade to fail:

Secret Server now requires the following:
- .Net 3.5 service pack 1
- SQL Server 2005, 2008, or 2008 r2 (Express is fine)

It is also possible that you had a server timeout due to the large amount of changes that needed to happen on the database. We currently have 5.1.000001 installed and given we have just renewed our support agreement I am looking at upgrading to the latest version.

I have attempted the offline method in a test area however after the upgrade I get an error saying Column 'EncryptionHash' does not belong to table.

Is there a process outlined for upgrading from older versions to the current 7.5 version? Do I need to go to 6.x first and then 7.x?
