This feature request been split into two parts - one to allow which users may use which Secret Templates and another regarding which Secret Templates can be used in which folders. We do not have a release date yet.

In the meantime, you could name the Secret Templates with a prefix for each team, for example: DBAs - Oracle SYS, DBAs - Oracle, Windows - Local Admin, Windows - Local service account, etc. This would make it easier for each team to see / use them and will be easy to change down the road when you can limit the options.

We just purchased secret server and I am in the process of setting it up, as we have lots of different teams using this many templates we use are unique to that specific team and are not needed by the others. Just wondering if you have any word on if/when this feature will be implemented given your last post was almost 7 months ago.

Currently Secret Server does not support specific permissions on the Secret Templates. I spoke with the product owner and this is already an outstanding feature request and is on our Road Map. We both agree that this will be a nice feature to have in Secret Server and I have added your name onto the existing request.
