Hi,
Our company is changing some groupnames (f.e. they want to change the name "system" to "system_engineer").
Is there an easy way to link the secrets to the new name?
Instead of creating new user and for each secret change the settings?

Hi Lindsay,
Are the groups AD groups or local Secret Server groups? If the group is simply renamed in either, the system should adjust to the change.
Can you provide a full example of what is happening and what the system is doing?

Hi David,
I'm sorry. I made an error in my previous post. It's the secret server user we want to change.
For example: We now have a user "system" who can see 100 secrets. We want to change the name "system" to "systemengineer" but keep the rights on the secrets.
It would be to much work to go over every secret and change the rights.
Greetings, Lindsay

Hi Lindsay,
The UI does not allow this, in part because older audits may show the old username. If changing the display name is not sufficient, we can email you a sql script for changing the username. Would you like us to do this?

Hello David,
We want to change the username, so is it possible to email me the script?
Thanks in advance.
