Hello Robert,

A Secret with RPC setup and set to expire will result in the Secret being changed every 24 hours. With the Schedule set to None the change will begin 24 hours after the last change.

You can review the Remote Password Changing Log from the Administration page to determine when the secret is being changed.

If the log indicates the Secret is only changing when you login, this could be a result of the IIS thread going to sleep. When IIS thread is asleep none of the background process will run. If that is the case, when you login the thread wakes up a sees the expired Secret and starts the change process. To setup IIS not to go to sleep see these KnowledgeBase articles:
http://support.thycotic.com/KB/a56/changing-iis-to-not-stop-worker-process-in-iis-70.aspx?KBSearchID=0
http://support.thycotic.com/KB/a13/changing-iis-to-not-stop-worker-process-in-iis-60.aspx?KBSearchID=0

Please submit a support ticket if you perfer us to follow up with you directly.

I'm still learning SS (the latest V7.0). Could someone confirm please that, when i create an AD account secret with Autochange and RPC (expires every 1 day) the password will be changed the next time i'm logging on to ss and NOT 24 hr after the last change (as i actually expected when i set up for autochange every one day). Auto Change Schedule is NONE.
