When you add a Security Group to the AD Sync feature in SecretServer. Does it use the Group's common name, or does it use the GUID when polling AD?
The reason I ask is I recently renamed the Security Group used in the AD Sync at it now seems to be enabling old Secret Server Accounts that used to be in the Security Group, but have been removed. The accounts still exist in AD, but are not in the group I have set to sync with Secret Server. I tried to change group it Sync's with, but I cannot find the new group name in the available group list. In fact, I seem to be missing a large number of available security groups that do exist in AD

The first time Secret Server synchronizes, it will use the groups common name in AD. After this, it will use the AD GUID.
The problem you mention may be due to a bug that existed in 6.2.000012. This has been fixed in 6.2.000013. Have you upgraded to the latest version?
