Thycotic.Data - Open Source Data Access Layer

With the introduction of ADO.NET in the first release of the .NET framework, Thycotic identified a need for a data access layer that would work against any database platform (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc).  Such a layer would be essential for Independent Software Vendors (ISV) who need their product to target several database platforms.  This product began as an approach and was first presented at the Pittsburgh .NET User Group and later emerged into a full fledged SourceForge open source project named Thycotic.Data.

Thycotic.Data also offers additional features such as a simplified API for data access with consistent OleDb style parameters and minimal code to achieve typically desired interactions.

Thycotic.Data is used on all of Thycotic's products and many of our clients use it too.

Thycotic.Data is written in C# and is available with full unit tests to prove its feature set.  The product has remained remarkably stable over its lifecycle with very few changes being required since its initial release - we attribute this to the high quality of Test Driven software development.
